Artist Statement
Sports have always been an important aspect in my life. Whether it was playing them or
watching them, I have always been captivated by all of the aspects that go into sports. As an artist, I present sports as an art rather than just a “game”. As a student at Valdosta State University I was able to work hand in hand with our athletics and found a passion for creating art and photographs. While working with every sport I have been able to experience the love and passion these athletes have for their sports and I showcase that through my work.
To do this I dove into the history of our athletics and experienced games up close. Through my creative process my work goes beyond photojournalism to share a story and history in unique ways.
